Perfection practiced: Dorien Lozeau returns from the German car paint training challenge

Neuss, Germany – Ancient Bodyworx Professional cover star and rising star in his own right, Dorien Lozeau recently returned from a WorldSkills training session in Neuss, Germany ahead of this fall’s special 2022 WorldSkills Competition.

This four-day automotive paint challenge, supported in part by 3M and Festool, took place September 5-9 and brought together teams from the UK, India and Germany to undergo technical training before the next WorldSkills competition.

Competitors finished with a relatively tight points spread, which Cecile Bukmeier, acting chair of the automotive body program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, says reflects the intense level of competition at work.

“A small oversight could drastically change the marking, which is important to understand and consider when in official competition,” says Bukmeier. “Dorien has come a long way since starting his training and it’s very evident in the way he completes the tasks. He is focused, precise and efficient.

“We are really grateful to the 3M and Festool team for their hospitality in Germany,” Bukmeier said.

The special edition of the WorldSkills Competition 2022 is currently holding events in 15 countries from September to November, instead of the canceled Shanghai competition.
